Long time since I posted.
As the title of this post says – I am not gonna speak Newton here. But something which is more felt and little known.
Right now, NDTV is airing a program on Laws of Sexual Harassment with a name same as the title of this post, ‘Laws of Attraction’.
Agreed!!! Women are harassed more. But I want to post on something (I don’t really know what to name this “something”) which happens to men! Yes happens to men.
Have you ever seen any of your friend (particularly a guy) who came to you and said, “This fine day is end of my love. She said Bye!”. Yes, that he is dumped. Probably many friends happened to say this many times. (particularly in India).
Today happened to be another day like this when I came to hear a story of a guy who got dumped and how his life took a twist! I wonder is love that much complicated! or girls that much complicated to be loved.
The incident of girls dumping boys is really happening that too in raging numbers. And as everyone knows Male – is actually the weaker sex considering his sentiments towards his partner. Most girls who dump have many tricky points to say that she no more needs him. Family, Caste, Society, Status, Job and most importantly the Salary. Doesn’t she know that these KPIs (Key Performance Indicators – as we say in Business Intelligence:) ) does exist when she fell in love with him. Or at least before making him being mad on her.
Most guys turn to drugs, they need some way to forget. But the most pathetic ones are those that don’t even go for drugs. I have seen guys who have lost all their confidence, conscience and have been running behind psychiatrists for treatment. Some guys really never marry. In South India – the trade mark “beard” is the one – guys use to show that they have been dumped. Even some guys have attempted the last thread – killing themselves.
There are also guys who go the other way to go behind the girl or at the least behind the girls new boy friends or husbands, in search of justice. (Guys – This is real stupid to go for this option)
I don’t say that guys wont dump girls. They do! but not this many.
Dumping someone is cruel enough like Killing someone. Would there be some law on this land which addresses this? Would Burkha Dutta discuss this someday on NDTV?
I know girls are intelligent, Hope they would show their intelligence before falling in love. Or at least before dumping?
(this is a thought after watching many such things happening around me. I could say Goutham Menon’ Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya too influenced this.)
